The maximum number of provincial invitations from February 17 to March 1, 2024

Over the past two weeks, five Canadian provinces, including Ontario, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island and Manitoba, have issued invitations to applicants through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). Also, the province of Quebec has announced the results of its two rounds of admission. (It should be noted that the province of Quebec does not have a provincial program (PNP).)

1. Province of Ontario (Ontario):
On March 1, the Ontario Provincial Program (OINP) issued 2,583 Notices of Interest (NOIs) to applicants working in specific skilled trades. These applicants had various scores ranging from 350 to 424 Comprehensive Rating System (CRS) points.

2. Province of British Columbia (British Columbia):
As of February 16, 2024, the British Columbia Provincial Program (BCPNP) held two lotteries for different categories, one for general and one for skilled occupations and international graduates (including the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option).

The results of the BCPNP draws on February 21 are as follows:

In the public draw on February 21, BCPNP issued a total of 69 invitations. These invitations were assigned to 5 groups of applicants:

1. Skilled Worker
2. Skilled Worker – EEBC option
3. International graduate
4. International Graduate – EEBC option
5. Entry level and Semi-Skilled

In addition to invitations issued in the general draw, BC has issued 143 invitations through the PNP:

1. 70 invitations for childcare job volunteers (minimum 60 points)
2. 32 invitations for construction job candidates (at least 75 points)
3. 41 invitations for healthcare volunteers (at least 60 points)
4. Less than five invitations for candidates for veterinary jobs (at least 60 points)

The results of the lottery on February 27 are as follows:

On February 27, BCPNP issued invitations through another lottery held for Skilled Worker: International Graduate Stream candidates (including the EEBC option). This draw brought the following results:

1. 45 invitations for kindergarten job candidates with a minimum score of 65
2. 12 invitations for candidates for construction jobs with a minimum score of 80
3. 41 invitations for health career candidates with a minimum score of 65
4. 90 invitations for candidates for technical jobs with a minimum score of 108
5. Less than five invitations for candidates for veterinary jobs with a minimum score of 65

The province of Quebec has recently released the results of two lotteries. In the first lottery held on February 8, the Minister of Immigration invited 1,034 candidates to apply for permanent residence in the province. To receive an invitation in this lottery, candidates must meet the following three conditions: have a French language proficiency of level 7 or higher, have a valid job offer outside the city of Montreal, and obtain a score of at least 613.

After this lottery, the province of Quebec announced the results of its second lottery on February 22. In this lottery, 1007 other candidates were invited for permanent residence. The conditions for being invited into this lottery included having a French language proficiency of level 7 or higher, having a valid job offer outside of Montreal, and obtaining a score of at least 608.

About Prince Edward Island On February 29, the province issued 24 invitations to candidates working in the healthcare and construction fields. This is the first time Prince Edward Island has held three PNP draws in one month, a move that reflects the province’s efforts to attract immigrants.
